Cardamom Black Whole Elaichi (Badi Elaichi, Sabut Elaichi)

The pods are used as a spice, in a similar manner to the green Indian cardamom pods, but with a different flavor .Popularly used in Biryanis, Spice Blends and Indian / Arabic Cuisine to flavour curries. Historically, black cardamom has been used to treat various stomach ailments, common infections, and dental problems. In traditional Chinese medicine, in addition to being a treatment for stomach disorders, this spice is used to treat malaria. It is also chewed as a mouth freshener.
